Hello again. I know i haven't posted for a while but that's because i haven't really had anything to blog about. Still, here goes:
GMLink
I finally decided to make GMLink in Flash. Progress has been annoyingly slow but progress has been made. I'd post a screenshot but i think i'll just post a comparision picture so I can find out which style people prefer. Here it is:

(yeah, its a link, sorry but the picture gets messed up if i just put it straight in >.<)
Skinnyeddy.co.nr
I've updated my website again by changing the style. I reckon it looks better because it isn't as dark and it works better on lower resolution screens.
I've also added some flash animations and links to other sites :)
So far, the site has had 212 visits (282 page views) despite being advertised only in my sig on the GMC.
Game Maker
I reckon i'll use Game Maker again soon, once i can work out something to do in it...
Still, my games on YoYo Games have been played quite a lot. Here are the figures:
Infection! - 335 plays
Infection! 1.5 - 36 plays
Infection 2: Disease - 93 plays
Winter Woes - 17 plays
Inferno (demo) - 11 plays
GMLink (discontinued) - 26 plays
Chav Hunter - 22 plays
I've also been informed by Aracnox that he's going to review one of my Games on his blog soon. I'm not sure which one but i'm looking forward to it. http://aracnox.wordpress.com/
His blog looks like it should be good so i'll add it to the blogs list >>>
And to finish, i'm still active on Twilight Phantasm (great community by the way ;)) and the GMC
Thanks, until next time.

Finally, a new post!
Hmm. I haven't posted for a while so here goes:
Since my last post i've stopped (temporarily) using Game Maker and have instead started using Flash to make animations and the like.
I'm still active on the GMC and Twilight Phantasm (not the YoYo Games forum as that has just gone downhill).
I've also continued work on the GMLink website despite me no longer using Game Maker. I'm continuing because i think it's a good idea and could prove to be very useful for many members of the Game Making Community.
I've also changed my website a bit i.e. Changed the theme and added/removed some pages, links and media.
I've also made some flashes which are on my website here.
I'm contemplating making GMLink and my website in Flash. If you think it would be a good/bad idea then please comment below.
Thanks, until next time.

I know what you did since last monday (sorry, obscure film reference)
I haven't posted since Monday so now seems like a good time.
Since then I've started learning GML and made quite a bit of head way on my new game which as yet unannounced (*slaps head* not anymore though *slaps head*) and may or may not have co-op and therefore be eligable for YoYo Games competition03!
I'm also revising for my impending exams :( and preparing for a car-boot sale tomorrow morning (god i hate getting up a 6:00am).
I'm also writing some more articles for GMTech the Game Maker magazine and they should be in issue 13 :D.
Thats the end of this blog, so bye for now!
(also, i recently came across the GM decompiler here and to be honest, it felt wrong just having it on my hard drive. Still, at least i can get my .gmk's back if I lose them.)

Infection! 1.5 + assorted news
I've recently released Infection! 1.5. I've done this to celebrate over 150 plays of Infection! and over 50 plays of the Infection 2: Disease demo. You can play it here: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/37408
With reference to my previous post, I have been accepted as an article checker for GMTech and am currently writing another article for them which will be in a future issue of GMTech.
I am also currently learning GML which I am so far finding relatively easy.
To conclude this post I would like to give you a quote from a relatively old English Comedy:
"I'd like to have a clear conscience"
"A Clear conscience?! And when did you find a taste for such luxuries?"
- Two government officials in Yes Prime Minister
Thanks for reading!

Staff Member for GMTech
I am now an Article Writer for GMTech, one of the most popular Game Maker related webzines.
I have written them two articles so far. These Articles will be readable in Issue 13.
I have also applied to be an Article Checker. I will update this post when I find out whether I've been accepted for the position.

State of the YoYo Games Forums (explicit language)
Look, I know this is my only my second post (a few minutes after my first :S) but there's something that I really need to get off my chest (No, not hair, real men don't wax). Yep, you guessed it, it's the state of the YoYo Games Forums.
Now to be fair, I am an advocate of YoYo Games. They're doing the best they can to improve Game Maker whilst having to put up with constant abuse about the Softwrap registration system (which isn't even their fault. They use Softwrap they aren't Softwrap).
Anyway, back onto the subject of the YoYo Games forums. As many people (including myself) have noticed, the standard of the YoYo Games forums (YGF) has slipped from being good to absolute shit.
In the past few months, most of the 'good' members of the YGF have drifted away to other forums such as the GMC (bigger and better) and Twilight Phantasm. The main reason for this is that most topics are either "continue the sentence" or help topics. Normally this would be fine but most are either badly written, repeat posts or in the WRONG section. Here is an example of a help topic in the (wrong) General Section:
Title - Hey Needs some expert help plz respond
Post - "Where can i go to make my own sprites websites or what ever please respond"
There are several things wrong with this post:
1. Bad Grammar/spelling in Title. It should be something like "I need expert help. Please Respond" or in relation to the actual subject matter "I need help with making sprites".
2. Its in the wrong section. It should be in Unofficial Help Q&A, not General Chat.
3. The actual post makes it sound as though the person doesn't care "or what ever".
To be honest, I just astounds me that someone can post a topic like that and expect help.
That's one of the reasons I moved over to the GMC.
Anyway, more from me soon,
skinnyeddy
Extra - I've just noticed a site advertised on YoYo Games (yep, crappy google ads) which states that you can download free PSP games. Admittedly this would be tempting if 1) it wasn't illegal 2) the grammar was good and 3) if the 'PSP' games advertised weren't Halo 3 and Diablo. As nice at it would be, neither Diablo or Halo 3 are available on PSP.
